Speed of decent is around 2.1 metres (7 feet) per second, compared to about 5 metres (16½ feet) per second for an average elevator. This alows 8 to 10 people to make a safe 30 metre (100 feet) decent in just two minutes!
When several people use the chute at once, the physical laws of friction and gravity keep people spread evenly apart and prevent traffic jams in the chute.
Burglar-Proof! Access cannot be gained to the building from outside.
