Under conditions of total power failure JALITE Photoline Stair-nosing will immediately illuminate (glow-in-the dark) stairs to help the evacuee on the way out of a building. Stair-nosing has been designed to complement existing emergency systems. Local or emergency power failure on stairways could be a fatal hazard for evacuees. Under conditions of total power failure, JALITE Photoline Stair-nosing will immediately illuminate the edges of steps to help the evacuee to orientate, locate stair edges and risers, and assist in the safe evacuation of the premises. Stair-nosing requires no electrical connection, is simple to install and requires no special maintenance other than that which you would normally carry out on any similar product. Only normal illumination, daylight, fluorescent or standard tungsten filament required to activate its performance.
